It's hard to believe that this dull piece of mediocrity was made by the same people who, eight years ago, created the hilarious "A Fish Called Wanda". Relying primarily on the cuteness factor of animals to fuel its rather weak plot, "Fierce Creatures" does little more than bring the stars of WANDA back to the screen (John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Kline, Michael Palin), and make them look older and less funny. Rollo Lee (Cleese) and Willa Weston (Curtis) team up to fight for the cause of the cute and furries against evil business mogul Rod McCaine (Kevin Kline), who decides to downsize his failing British zoo, keeping only the more financially attractive 'fierce creatures' and getting rid of all the others.

An obvious attempt to exploit the success of "A Fish Called Wanda", "Fierce Creatures" dismally lacks its predecessor's bite and humor, and does little more than exist as a gross mockery of a genre we're all getting to know a little too well: the bad sequel.
