Bart Freundlich (Writer and Director)
Bart Freundlich graduated with a double major in Cinema Studies and Film
and Television Production from New York University. He spent a year studying
at Northwestern University and a semester at the British Film Institute.
Freundlich has written and directed the short film A Dog Race in Alaska,
starring Sam Waterston and James Waterston and the documentary Hired Hands.
Stephen Kazmierski (Director of Photography)
Stephen Kazmierski was the director of photography on Blessing, Grind and
Listen Up: The Lives of Quincy Jones.
Susan Bolles (Production Designer)
Susan Bolles' credits as production designer include His and Hers, Illtown
and Denise Calls Up. Bolles was the art director on Wide Sargasso Sea. Her
television credits include "House of Buggin" for FOX and "The
Ben Stiller Show" for MTV.
Kate Williams (Editor)
Kate Williams has worked as an assistant editor on a variety of films. Most
recently, Ms. Williams edited Steve Buscemi's Trees Lounge.
Ken J. Sackheim (Editor)
Ken Sackheim's multi-faceted career includes work as a writer, director,
editor and composer. his projects have been exhibited in festivals around
the world. His latest film is Wallace's Line.
David Bridie and John Phillips (Composers)
Together David Bridie and John Phillips are co-founders of Not Drowning,
Waving. Individually, John Phillips is the founder of Screwtape, one of
Australia's leading experimental units, while David Bridie helms My Friend
the Chocolate Cake, an acclaimed all-acoustic act. Their previous film credits
include Jocelyn Moorehouse's Proof.
Lucy W. Corrigan (Costume Designer)
Lucy W. Corrigan was the costume designer on Beautiful Girls and Boys.
Steve Hamilton (Supervising Sound Editor)
Steve Hamilton's credits as supervising sound editor include Sense and Sensibility,
Eat Drink Man Woman, Flirt, Amateur, The Daytrippers, Palookaville, Angela
and Arresting Gena. As a picture editor, Mr. Hamilton's credits include
Nora, Strawberry Fields, Amateur, Simple Men, Flirt, Hot Pepper, The Rocking
Horse Winner and the short film The Hardly Boys.
Douglas Aibel (Casting Director)
Douglas Aibel is the Artistic Director of The Vinyard Theater in New York.
His film credits as casting director include Fresh, Little Odessa, Bob Roberts
and Dead Man Walking.
Mary Jane Skalski (Producer)
Mary Jane Skalski served as associate producer on The Brothers McMullen
and Roy Cohn/Jack Smith, as post production supervisor on Eat Drink Man
Woman and as delivery coordinator for Walking and Talking and The Wedding
Banquet. She has also produced the short films Greetings from Africa and
Central Park, and was the coproducer of the documentary Wonderland, recently
seen at Sundance.
Tim Perell (Producer)
Tim Perell has produced a number of short films for the BBC and Channel
4 including All at Sea (winner Locarno '95) and The Clearing (with Derek
Jarman). Most recently he has produced the feature films Breathing Room,
which was released in the U.S. by Arrow Releasing and Alexandre Rockwell's
Louis and Frank, which is currently in post production. Perell is currently
in pre-production on Myles Connell's "The Opportunists," developed
at the Sundance Filmmakers Lab.
James Schamus (Executive Producer)
James Schamus founded Good Machine with Ted Hope in 1991. Among his recent
credits are: Co-producer, Sense and Sensibility; Executive Producer, Love
God and Arresting Gena; and Writer and Producer, The Ice Storm, Ang Lee's
forthcoming feature for Fox Searchlight, starring Kevin Kline and Sigourney
Weaver, for which Schamus received the award for Best Screenplay at Cannes.
Ted Hope (Executive Producer)
Ted Hope founded and runs Good Machine with James Schamus. Hope has executive
produced two Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winners: Edward Burns' first feature
The Brothers McMullen (1995) and Tom Noonan's What Happened Was... (1994).
Most recently, Hope produced Ang Lee's The Ice Storm, acclaimed at Cannes,
Edward Burns' upcoming Long Time Nothing New, and Hannah Weyer's Arresting
Gena, which premiered in the Dramatic Competition at Sundance. Hope also
executive produced Frank Grow's Love God.
Good Machine
Good Machine has produced over 20 feature films since it was founded in
1991.
Eureka Pictures was founded by Tim Perell and Howard Bernstein in
1995 and has produced Breathing Room and Louis and Frank. Eureka is currently
producing "Split Screen," a 30 minute TV show directed by John
Pierson for Bravo/IFC.
