Le Cri de la soie

Paris in 1914, Marie Benjamin, a dressmaker, steals silk materials in the parisian department stores. She gets arrested and she is put in Fresnes' jail. There she meets Gabriel, a psychiatrist working inside the prison. Gabriel reveals Marie's peculiar personality and discovers her strange relationship with silk materials. Eventually, despite the gap existing between them, they find themselves attracted to each other until August 1914 when the general mobilization urges Gabriel to leave for Morocco.
