Kate Capshaw, Elliot Gould, Keifer Sutherland and Uma Thurman star in this dark tale of a young man's very strange night accompanying his mother to a party thrown for rock star Janis Joplin at the height of the swinging sixties in LA.

* LIEBERMAN IN LOVE
dir. Christine Lahti, USA, 39 min.
This bittersweet story of late blooming love, based on a W. P. Kinsella short story adapted by Polly Platt, introduces us to a recent widower (Danny Aiello) who falls into an unexpectedly involving relationship with the cynical hooker he meets in a restaurant one night (Christine Lahti). Things get much more complicated when he encounters an attractive real estate broker whose Southern charm is exceeded only by her cunning wiles.

For those of you who think that all those outrageous tales of life on the other coast are highly exaggerated, this random sampling of scenes from the life may put things in perspective...

The word twisted doesn't begin to describe this spiky vignette about a psychotic, misogynist director and the scheming, manipulative actress who wants the big role in his first film.
